In this lesson, children will learn the basics of Islam through simple stories, like that of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham). They’ll be introduced to the Five Pillars of Islam (Faith, Prayer, Charity, Fasting, and Hajj) using a fun.
This session will teach children the significance of Salah (prayer). They’ll learn why it’s important and how it connects Muslims with Allah. The class will demonstrate the steps of Wudu (ablution) and Salah with fun, interactive practice. Children will also practice the physical movements of prayer (standing, bowing, prostrating) to familiarize them with the actions involved.
In this class, children will learn key Islamic manners like greeting with “As-Salaam-Alaikum,” saying “Bismillah” before meals, and showing respect to elders. They’ll practice these etiquettes in role-playing activities, helping them apply good manners in their daily lives.
The Youth Monthly Halaqa Program at Masjid al-Mustafa is designed to engage young Muslims in meaningful discussions, reflections, and activities that strengthen their faith and connection to Allah. Every month, we come together for an interactive gathering where youth, ages 13-18, explore various topics related to Islam, personal development, and community building.
Each Halaqa session is centered around a theme—such as Islamic values, the lives of the Prophets, social issues from an Islamic perspective, or practical advice on how to navigate challenges as a Muslim youth. The program encourages open discussion, critical thinking, and personal reflection, offering youth the chance to share their thoughts in a safe and respectful environment.
The Youth Corner at Masjid al-Mustafa is a dedicated space designed to empower and support the spiritual, social, and personal growth of young Muslims in our community. It provides a welcoming environment for youth, ages 13-18, to gather, learn, and connect with one another while strengthening their faith in Allah. The Youth Corner offers a variety of activities, resources, and programs aimed at nurturing both the heart and mind.
In the Youth Corner, youth are encouraged to explore topics that matter most to them, whether it’s tackling personal challenges, understanding Islamic principles, or finding ways to give back to the community. The space features regular educational programs such as talks, workshops, and Quran study circles, where youth can engage with scholars and mentors on relevant issues.
